Engagement at Bow Lake in Banff

Denise and Robert both live in Calgary now, but they grew up, separately, in Romania. Both of their families decided when they were kids to move to Canada, and they met each other when they were adults and living on their own. There’s a small Romanian community in Calgary, and many of them stick together, go to church together, and have mutual friends and acquaintances, which is how Denise and Robert met one another. Their community is very orthodox, so most of their friends are already married and have kids, and they’re considered old to be getting married, even though they’re in their early twenties. We met up and walked around the lake, taking photos, twirling around, and watching the sun set.
