Wildflower Crested Butte Elopement

Nathan and Brittany wanted a quintessentially summer Colorado elopement, complete with green mountains and wildflower meadows. They’re both from Colorado and have visited Crested Butte several times before, so they thought it would be perfect for their elopement. The previous winter was exceptionally dry, so I wasn’t sure there would be any wildflowers, and there weren’t nearly as many as previous years, but we still managed to find fields of fireweed to explore. We started the day getting ready at Vaquera House getting ready and doing a little first look before we headed out to the ceremony location. We drove up a bumpy mountain road until we got to an alpine lake where the two said their vows as the weather sprinkled. After vows, the two ate a little charcuterie picnic before heading out to explore further into the mountains. We stopped by viewpoints and fields of flowers until the sun went down and we headed home.
